Parenting Coordination
Parenting Coordination is a form of dispute resolution which is child focused and is a long-term alternative to managing disagreements during or after divorce/ separation. Parents sometimes need someone to help them establish or maintain an ongoing parenting relationship with the other parent and to reduce or manage the conflict between them.
I am a regulated Registered Parenting Coordinator. In my role as a parenting expert, I educate, coach, and assist parents in coming to agreement on issues by using a variety of dispute resolution techniques or methods. I support parents in creating a parenting plan to meet the needs of their children.
My background for this role is in child development, conflict management, family violence, and family dynamics. Some examples of the critical training and certification that I have for this role is in arbitration, coaching, high conflict personalities, legal studies, mediation and views of the child.
